ICECREAM SUNDAE (By Ilhun)

                        ingredients

-50 grammes strawberries
-3 scoops strawberry ice cream
-strawberry syrup
-spincles cream


First wash and slice the strawberries.
Next put layers of strawberries and ice cream in a glass.
Later pour on some strawberry syrup and finally put wipped cream
and sprinkles on top

Brownie Recipe (by Alain)

                                                                   INGREDIENTS

                                                         ( for 16 chocolate squares)


120g butter,
200g sugar,
1 teaspoon vanilla,
2 eggs,
60g chocolate (melted)
75g flour
and chopped walnuts

                                                                 RECIPE                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              
     - First beat the butter,sugar and vanilla.
     - Then beat in the eggs.
     - After that stir in the chocolate, flour and walnuts
     - Next bake in a greased square pan at 175* for 30 minutes.
     - Finally leave them to cool for an hour. Cut into 16 squares decorated with half walnuts.

CHOCOLATE AND WALNUT CAKE (by David)

Recipe


200g chopped walnuts

 3 tablespoons flour

 8 tablespoons sugar

 100g chocolate

 125g butter

 3 eggs


First put the chopped wallnuts in a bowl.
Next melt the butter and chocolate and mix them with the walnuts.
Later beat the eggs and pour them in the bowl.

Add the sugar and flour mis well.
Finally pour the mixture into a round greased cake tin and cook for 30 minutes at 180º.
Leave to cool.

The first walnut and chocololate cake was cooked in 1764 by Dr. James Baker.
James Baker was from Netherlands.

When cocoa was discovered and brought to Europe by the spanish, they  kept cocoa beans secret from the rest of Europe for a long time.



The spanish drank cocoa for health and energy.

LEMON SHERBET ( BY ARITZ )

                                                                LEMON SHERBET
  
       INGREDIENTS:

    Imagen relacionada
  • 1 CUP SUGAR
  • SALT
  • 1 CUP WATER
  • 1/2 CUP CREAM
  • 1/2 CUP LEMON JUICE
  • 2 EGG WHITES                                       

     

STEPS

1- First mix 3/4 of the cup of sugar, salt and water. 
2- Boil it and  then simmer it for 5 minutes. 
3- Put in the refrigerator.
4- After add the cream. Then the lemon juice. 
5- Then put it into a plastic container. 
6- Later freeze it for 5 or 4 hours.
7- Next  beat the egg whites. Add 1/4 of sugar. Beat the mixture.
8- Break the frozen mixture with a fork. Them mix in the egg whites.
7- Finally put the mixture in the freezer for 2 hours.

BANANA SPLIT (By Martina)

BANANA SPLIT

INGREDIENTS: 
1 banana
chocolate vanilla and strawberry ice cream
whipped cream
chocolate sauce
sprinkles

First cut the banana lengthwise 
Next add one scoop of vanilla, chocolate and strawberry ice cream
After that add the whipped cream 
Finally add the chocolate sauce and the sprinkles.

CUCUMBER SANDWICHES by Uxue

INGREDIENTS:

One cucumber

4 slices of bread

Mayonnaise

Salt and pepper

 METHOD:

First, cut the cucumber into thin slices.

Next, spread the mayonnaise on one slice of bread.

Later, put  the cucumber on the bread. Add salt and pepper.

After that, cover with a second slice of bread.

Finally, cut each sandwich in quarters.

STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE by Andoni

                                       

INGREDIENTS:
                                                 
225g  self raising flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

50g butter or margarine

25g caster sugar

1 medium egg

5 tablespoons milk

half a teaspoon of vanilla essence

extra milk,for brushing  





1.First, heat the oven to 220ºc, gas mark 7. Take a paper towel and put a little bit of flour and

baking powder into a bowl.

2.Then, cut the butter on small  cubes.Then put the flour,with your fingers.Carry on until looks

like fine breadcrumbs.

3.After, stir in the caster sugar and make a hollow in the middle of the mixture with a spoon

and put the egg.


4.Next, stir the milk and the vanilla into the egg.Mix the ingredients with a blunt knife.

5.Later ,sprinkle a clean  surface with a  little flour and with your hands.

6.After that ,using a rolling pin ,roll out until the circle is done. Brush it with a little milk.

7.Then, put the shortcake in the oven to 12-15minutes.Cut the strawberries and then put into thick slices.

8.Next, take the shortcake out of  the oven and cut the cake in half.

9.After that, cut the cake in small pieces and then put cream into a bowl.

10.Finally, put the shortcake on a plate and put the strawberry slices all over the top.

BREAD by Enara


  Ingredients

Make 12 rolls

450g  strong white bread flour 
a teaspoon of salt
2 teaspoon dried easy blend yeast
300ml warm water, which has been boiled
2 teaspoon olive or vegetal oil



Method

First, sift the flour and the salt into a large mixing bowl, through a sieve. Then, add the yeast and stir it in.

Next, make a hollow in the middle of the flour. Pour the warm water into a jug and add the oil, then  pour them into the hollow.

Later, stir everything with a wooden spoon, to make a soft dough.

After that, put the dough on the work surface and knead it for 10 minutes. Then put it into a clean bowl.

Then, cover the bowl with plastic foodwrap. Leave 
 it in a warm place for 1 1/2 hours, until the dough rises to twice its original size.

Later, put the dough back on the floury surface and knead it again, for about a minute, to squeeze out any air bubbles.

Next, break the dough into 12 pieces. Roll them into balls and put them on a  greased baking tray, with spaces between them.

Then, leave the rolls to rise in a a warm place for about 40 minutes. Heat your over to 220ªc, 425f, gas mark 7.

Finally, lightly brush the rolls with milk. Bake them for 12- 15 minutes,put them on a wire rack to cool.


Kneading

First, press the heels of both hands, or your knuckles, into the dough. Then, push the dough away from you firmly.

Next, fold the dough in half and turn it around. Push the dough.Then push the dough away from you. Later, fold it in half and turn it around.

Finally, carry on pushing the dough away from you, folding and turning it around, until it feels smooth and springy.

CHOCOLATE CAKE BY LANDER

This recipie is from Austria.

Austria is a small country in central Europe.

                                                          SACHERTORTE

This famous chocolate cake is very rich. Known as Sacher's cake it was first made by a cook called Franz Sacher, who baked it for an Austrian prince.

                                                                      
                                                           INGREDIENTS

For the cake
6 eggs
145g. softened butter
145g. caster sugar
225g. plain chocolate 
115g. plain flour

For the icing
2 tablespoons butter
225g. icing sugar
145g.apricot jam
30g. cocoa powder

Apart
Two 20cm sandwich cake tins, greased and lined with a circlee of graseproof paper.
Oven temperature: 170ºc / gas mark 3.

                                                                 METHOD

First open the eggs. Put the whites in one bowl and the yolks in another. Beat the yolks until smooth.

Next beat the butter and sugar together with a wooden spoon until creamy. Stir in the egg yolks gradually.

Later break half the chocolate into pieces in a small heat-proof bowl. Heat a saucepon of water over a low heat.

After that stand the bowl over the pan and stir the chocolate until it has melted. Stir it into the creamy mixture.

Then put the egg whites into a large bowl. Whisk them until they are firm and form soft peaks when you lift the whisk.

After mix the flour into the cake mixture, then fold in the egg whites with a metal spoon. Fold in one spoonful at a time.

Later pour the mixture into the cake tins. Smooth the topwhit the back of a spoon. Bake the cakes for 35 minutes.

Next run a knife around the edge of the cakes to loosen them. Turn them out onto a wire rack and leave them to cool.

After that to make a thick icing melt the rest of the chocolate in a bowl. Mix in a tablespoon of icing sugar and the butter.

Then use a knife to spread the chocolate paste onto one half of the cake. Then, put the other cake on top.

Later melt the jam in a pan over a low heat. Spread it over the top and sides of the cake with a blunt knife.

Finally sift the cocoa powder and the rest of the icing sugar into a bowl. Add water a bit at a time. Spread it all over the cake.

POPCORNS BY AIMAR

INGREDIENTS for six people

150 grams popcorn

1 tablespoon oil

Salt or sugar



First, mix the oil and the popcorn in a big saucepan.

Then, put a lid on the saucepan and cook slowly. Do not remove the lid! 

After remove from the heat. Listen! Remove the lid when the corn stops popping. 

Finally, in the a big bowl mix the popcorn with sugar or salt.
