PAELLA by Benat

Paella is the most famous dish in Spain. Rice is slowly cooked with chicken,seafood and saffron.

 INGREDIENTS
1 medium onion
1 red pepper 
6 tomatoes
 a clove of garlic
 2 skinned chicken breasts
 2 tablespoons olive oil 
1 chicken stock cube
 450 ml boiling water                                    
 225g paella or risotto rice
1 teaspoon saffron threads                     
 a pinch of salt and of black pepper
 115g peeled prawns
 55g frozen peas                                        
6 fresh mussels


 PAELLA

 First, chop the onion finely.Core and slice the red pepper. Chop the tomatoes. Peel and crush the clove of garlic.

Then, cut the chicken and fry the chicken until it is golden brown.
Next, remove the chicken from  the pan. Fry the red pepper,onion and garlic over a low heat until soft.Add the tomatoes.

Later, make the stock in a jug.Pour the stock into the pan.Stir in the rice,chicken,saffron,salt and pepper.

After that, put the lid on the frying pan and cook the paella over a low heat for about 15 minutes,stirring occasionally.

Finally, stir in the prawns and peas put the mussels on top then cook the paella for five more minutes.
