American's National Parks by Garazi


 The Gran Canyon

-The Grand Canyon is in the USA is one the world's most popular attractions. It is very beautiful and enormous.

-The Grand Canyon is very deepand it is in Arizona. It is 446 km long. In some places it's about 29 km wide and it can be as deep as 1,800 meters. The Grand Canyon was fromed by the Colorado river about 17 million year ago. Much of the rocks was formed by volcanic lava.

-Five  million people visit the Grand Canyon every year. The visitors can go rafting, hiking and take a helicopter and other activities.

-There are about 2,000 different species of plants. There are lots bird and reptiles species.

-The first Europeans to see the Grand Canyon were Spanish. The next Europeans to see the Grand Canyon were to Spaish priests two centuries later.
                                                         

Yellowstone park

It is in the state of Wyoming, Montana and Idaho. It was the world's first national park. The landscape consists of lakes, rivers, canyons and mountains ranges. The park is famous for its hot. Amongst the wild life in the park are grizzly, bears, wolves, bison and elk. Visitors to the park can camp, cycle, fish and hike. There is a geyser called the Morning Glory Pool.


Yosemite

It is in the state of California. It is famous for its granite mountains and gigant sequoia trees. There are many animals deers, jackrabbits, bears, marmots and squirrels. Visitors in Yosemite can walk, hike, cycle and go rock climbing or rafting. In the winter, much of the parks is open for skiing.

Monument Valley

It is in the states of Arizona and Utah. Part of the park is a reserved for Navajo Indians. It ia famous for its rock formations, whits are enormous. There are different species of plants. Many films, such as Forrest Gunp and Back to the future 3 have scenes shoting in Monument Valley.

The Everglades National Park

It is in the state of Florida. There are alligators, turtles, snakes and frog apart from birds and fish.Visitors in the park can hike or go kayaking and canoeing.
